What is PACE (Political Action for Candidate Election)?

PACE is the political action committee of NASW, dedicated to advancing social workers’ public policy goals in campaigns and elections. PACE endorses and contributes to candidates who support NASW policy issues, and mobilizes social workers to vote for PACE-endorsed candidates. Chapter PACE units endorse state and local candidates and collaborate with the national unit on federal elections.

The Montana Chapter of NASW is developing a political action committee for the first time in our NASW history.

We need 5 members to serve, along with two board members, as the PACE committee. We have volunteers from Helena, the South Central Region, and North Central Region (Great Falls and surrounding area). We need 3 more members; one from the Eastern Region (Billings and all points east) and one from the Northwestern Region (Kalispell and surrounding area) and one from Western Region (Missoula and points N, S and W).
