Time Commitment
Time commitment varies for the various committees but is never more than one hour every two weeks, meetings are usually by teleconference.

The Ethics Committee meets via teleconference quarterly or as needed depending on the workload.
Statement of Purpose
Shall be responsible for hearing and determining complaints filed in accord with the Association’s policy on the adjudication of grievances. The Ethics Committee may convene local panels to conduct hearings.

Statement of Purpose
- Identify the critical practice skills needed for social workers in a changing environment.
- Provide timely, affordable, culturally sensitive, and relevant skills training through conferences offering continuing education credits.
- Conduct an annual statewide meeting of the profession.
- Provide opportunities for experienced social workers within our state to disseminate knowledge and skills to their professional colleges.
- Offer educational programs that balance need and expenses which
produce revenue for NASW-MT.

- Approval of the annual budget for presentation to the Board of Directors
- Secure an annual CPA audit to be completed by October 15 of each year
- Consideration of any audit recommendations
- Investment of Chapter cash reserves
- Monitoring of the Chapter fiscal status
- Advise and recommend fiscal policy changes to the Board of Directors

Statement of Purpose
Shall be responsible for monitoring, evaluating and recommending and introducing legislation for the purpose of enhancing the profession of social work in Montana and improving the social conditions and general well being of Montanan's.
Nominations and Leadership Committee

Statement of Purpose
Responsible for conducting the Chapter's nominations, candidates selection and election process in accordance with the Standards for NASW Chapter Nominations and Elections; and responsible for selection of State Social Worker of the Year and State Citizen of the Year.
